FROM PRAGUE TO GREENVILLE TO THE NETHERLANDS, AND FINALLY TO PORTUGAL

Welcome to our blog, where we delve into the fascinating story behind our unique journey as the first and only American expat couple specializing in live wedding painting throughout Europe. In addition to sharing our tale, we're excited to provide valuable insights for soon-to-be newlyweds and aspiring artists. Our story began back in 2010 when Ville and I crossed paths at the University of South Florida while studying art. Little did we know that this serendipitous meeting would set the stage for an incredible adventure, including four international moves and a beautiful backyard wedding that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Now, let's fast forward to the present! In October 2022, Ville and I made a bold move from Maastricht, Netherlands, to the captivating city of Lisbon, Portugal. And let me tell you, we haven't looked back since. Portugal seems to be tailor-made for us, with its coastal vibes that harken back to our formative years in sunny Florida, and a laid-back culture that encourages us to slow down and strike a harmonious work-life balance. The icing on the cake is that Portugal stands as one of the premier destination wedding hotspots in Europe, affording us the incredible opportunity to practice live wedding painting for couples hailing from every corner of the globe, right here in Portugal. We consider ourselves immensely fortunate to have charted our own unique path, even in the face of the challenges we encountered along the way. Our journey has been enriched by the supportive community we've had the privilege of connecting with.
